Most of the world celebrated the beginning of year 2000. However, from Asians to Americans, from Jews to Christians, from Chretien to Clinton, few did remember its authentic meaning: two thousand years after Jesus Christ lived on this Earth and changed everything about our destiny!

If that is not the reason, what did they celebrate?
-A new number for the date? … Then they could make the year last only six months, and celebrate twice as many numbers!
-Three zeros in a row in this year's date? … Then they could count years by the thousands: 2000, 3000, 4000, and celebrate a new millennium every year!
-One more revolution of the Earth around the Sun? … Then they could celebrate each revolution of Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto as well.

Was it a contest about who can spend more in fireworks?
Was it an excuse to have a day off and enjoy a big party?
What did they celebrate?

How shallow life is for those who live as if Christ did not!
Happy year 2000 A.D.!
