Straight thoughts 96

October 23rd, 2002

Modern biologists, who could break the DNA code and understand many aspects of the miracle of life, have not been able to understand what life itself is.

Scientifically, they do not know what this "force" is, where it comes from or where it resides.
Even though they know exactly the composition of complex cells, right down to the atomic level, they have not been able to put together anything that lives, not even a mustard seed.

Is it then a serious misrepresentation on their part to pursue embryonic research and define the embryo as a "bunch of cells" and not a living human being.

If it were a cell without human life, why then they do not put together an embryo artificially from basic elements, instead of starting from, and using processes involving human eggs and sperms?
