Straight thoughts 27

Ontario Premier Mike Harris has participated to question period for about 14 days in 1999. The democratic right of the people to ask questions to the government leader has suffered. His average participation was 35%. Would anyone else who showed up at work one day out of three maintain his job?

When asked why and what he was doing at the time, he answered 'that is my private time'. Did Harris forget that he is SERVING us?
The PUBLIC job of an MPP is not very heavy either. Ample time is reserved for PRIVATE time: Today the Ontario Legislature returns from the 'Christmas break'.
May be accountability and common sense are not too practical when you are the Premier of the province?
